Home and Away star Matt Evans to release his first single

 

‘Over It’ will be released in January next year.

The debut single of Home and Away actor Matt Evans has been announced.

Theo Poulos, the actor who plays Theo Poulos in Summer Bay, confirmed the news on Instagram by posting that his song “Over It” was already available for pre-save before its January 20 release.

The song was inspired by the actor’s terrible break-up with his ex-girlfriend and his experience with gaslighting, the actor revealed in an interview with the Australian Daily Telegraph about his creative process.

“She was calm about it—actually delighted about it, which is odd—and she knows there’s a song about that situation. I figured I should inform her “said he.

For the previous few months, Evans has teased new music while updating followers on his social media sites. Evans had previously participated on The Voice Australia in 2020, winning the role of Theo on the popular serial the following year before making his acting debut.

The actor has also displayed his musical abilities on screen, as his persona founded his own band, Lyrik, and developed a singing relationship with his girlfriend, Chloe Anderson.

Evans also recently revealed his hopes to see Theo involved in more hard-hitting storylines, in order to test himself as an actor.

“My hope is that Theo is involved in more dramatic storylines, so I get to challenge myself more and learn to the best of my ability,” he said (via TV Week).
