Home and Away star Matt Evans to release his first single

"She knows there is a song about that situation and was cool about it… actually happy about it, which is weird. I thought I should let her know," he said.

Evans has been teasing his music for the past few months, keeping fans updated via his social media accounts. Before making his acting debut, Evans had previously competed on The Voice Australia in 2020, landing the role of Theo on the popular soap the following year.

The actor has also used his musical talents on-screen, with his character forming his own band Lyrik as well as bonding with his girlfriend Chloe Anderson through singing.

Evans also recently revealed his hopes to see Theo involved in more hard-hitting storylines, in order to test himself as an actor.

"My hope is that Theo is involved in more dramatic storylines, so I get to challenge myself more and learn to the best of my ability," he said (via TV Week).

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
