Hollyoaks' Juliet receives a heartbreaking diagnosis
Juliet's test results are in.
There were more emotional scenes from Hollyoaks in the soap's first look episode on Wednesday (November 30), as Juliet finally received her test results.
Juliet had to undergo a biopsy earlier this week to find out if she has cancer. In a vulnerable moment after learning about her health issues, Juliet slept with her ex Peri instead of meeting her current girlfriend Nadira and her dad for lunch.
Juliet ended up confessing her moment of weakness with Peri to Nadira, but stopped short of telling her about her health worries.
In Wednesday's episode, Juliet claimed things with Peri "just happened" — much to the annoyance of Nadira, who stormed off still unaware of the fact Peri may have cancer.
Nadira then confronted Peri in the street about her sleeping with Juliet, though an unsympathetic Peri planted the seed that her and Juliet's dalliance may not have been the only time something happened between them recently.
"Stay away from my relationship," a stern Nadira told her love rival.
Later, an on edge Juliet had her own confrontation with Peri in the street, where the latter told the former that she needed to make a decision about if she wanted to be with her or Nadira. Juliet pushed Peri away, well aware that she may not be able to make any long term promises to either her or Nadira with her health issues hanging over her.
Juliet later assured Nadira that she and Peri were officially done, and Nadira told her she'd be willing to take her back if she apologised and promised to work on herself. Juliet did apologise, but, unsure of what may be ahead for her, she broke up with Nadira instead.
"I think I would be better off by myself," Juliet said, to which Nadira accused her of "ruining [her] life".
Juliet then headed to the hospital to get her test results, where she was heartbreakingly informed by Misbah Maalik that she has Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Though Misbah assured Juliet that "the prognosis is good", she also made it clear to the understandably emotional youngster that she would have to prepare to put up a fight against the disease.
Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
