Next week on Home and Away, lives are on the line as Heather's hostage situation continues.

Elsewhere, Tane and Felicity's future hangs in the balance again, while Remi tries to find the best way to support Bree.

Here's a full collection of 13 big moments coming up.

1. Justin raises the alarm over Heather's plan

Justin worries when he's unable to get hold of Leah following her trip with Alf and Irene to join Heather and Marilyn for brunch. His concern grows when Leah, Irene and Marilyn all fail to show up for work at the Diner.

Justin visits the police station and voices his theory that Heather could be involved. Needing to explain his suspicions, he tells Cash and Rose that Heather is Marilyn's daughter.

2. Cash and Rose make a disturbing discovery

Cash and Rose request a check on Heather's home address to see if she's there. The local police report back to Cash and Rose, explaining that Heather was nowhere to be seen – but the body of her adoptive mother was found in a chest freezer on the property.

As it dawns on everyone that Heather may be capable of murder, Justin remembers the name Crestview on the invitation she sent to Leah. Rose discovers that it's Heather's old boarding school and rushes to the scene with Cash, requesting further police back-up.

3. Heather takes her last stand

At Crestview, Alf struggles to breathe after having his drink spiked, but Heather cruelly refuses to get him help. She hopes that Marilyn will be blamed by her closest friends if Alf doesn't make it out alive.

When police arrive on the scene, an ambulance is finally called for Alf. Leah and Irene are relieved to be rescued, but Heather flees through the building with Marilyn.

Heather drags Marilyn into a precarious position on the ledge of a second-storey balcony, closely followed by a horrified Cash. Heather pays the price for her own ruthless actions when her foot slips and she falls off the edge.

4. Heather's fate is revealed at the hospital

Heather and her captives are all taken to hospital. Heather is in the worst state after her fall, but she defies the odds by regaining consciousness.

Marilyn gets a chance to confront her daughter and makes it clear that Heather can't be part of her life anymore. Heather taunts Marilyn in response, accusing her mother of abandoning her for a second time.

5. Nikau makes a confession

Nikau is rocked by the disturbing revelations about Heather and blames himself for not realising what she was capable of sooner.

Nikau decides to do the right thing by heading to the police station and confessing that he gave Heather a false alibi when she was recently under investigation. He also makes a personal apology to Marilyn for not being more supportive when she needed him.

6. Marilyn makes another difficult decision

Alf, Roo and Irene all rally round Marilyn after her ordeal, assuring her that their friendships remain rock solid. Despite this, Marilyn can't help fearing that her friends all now see her differently.

Marilyn decides to leave Summer Bay without saying goodbye, only leaving a note behind for her loved ones.

7. Concern grows for Marilyn

Marilyn's friends all worry when they haven't heard from her for a few days. They all struggle to get in touch with her, so they alert Cash that something could be wrong.

Although Cash agrees to look into Marilyn's whereabouts, he also warns that they may have to respect her wishes if she doesn't want to be found.

8. Dean worries about the birth

Dean's mind goes into overdrive when Ziggy casually mentions that she wants him in the delivery room when she gives birth.

John is amused by Dean's obvious horror over the prospect, but he encourages Dean to respect whichever decision Ziggy makes.

9. Remi confides in Eden

Remi feels burdened by the knowledge that Bree is in an abusive relationship. He needs someone to talk to, so shares the disturbing truth with Eden.

Later, Eden sees what Jacob is really like when she witnesses him deliberately antagonising Remi. Eden steps in to rebuke Jacob, hinting that she already knows what he's capable of. Afterwards, Remi and Eden both fear that their heated intervention could make matters worse for Bree.

10. Remi changes his approach over Bree

Remi can't understand why Bree is staying with Jacob, but he starts to realise that he can't force things before Bree is ready to seek help.

Changing his approach, Remi speaks to Bree in private and promises that he'll be there for her whenever she needs him. Bree is relieved to finally have support from someone.

11. Tane confronts Felicity

Felicity tries to make out that she's overjoyed about the wedding, but she's still wrestling with secret concerns that it could be too soon.

Tane becomes suspicious when Felicity seems reluctant to set a date for the ceremony. He confronts Felicity and demands to know why she's avoiding all talk about the wedding.

12. Tane makes a second discovery

Felicity's attempts to reassure Tane are thwarted when he watches back some footage from Lyrik's music video, which includes the moment of his proposal.

When Tane zooms in on Felicity's face, he spots that she was full of doubt and clearly felt pressured into saying yes.

Tane takes the dilemma out of Felicity's hands by telling her that the wedding is off. Felicity finally realises what she stands to lose, so she insists the ceremony should go ahead as planned in eight weeks' time.

13. Kirby hears from her ex

Lyrik's new music video receives plenty of buzz online, but it also seems to capture the attention of Kirby's ex-boyfriend Bob – the band's former lead singer.

Bob has seen the chemistry between Kirby and Theo in the video, so notes that his ex-girlfriend has clearly moved on. Although Kirby warns Bob that it's none of his business, she decides not to tell Theo about the message from him.
