Neighbours' Alan Fletcher and Jason Donovan react to show return news
"Incredible."
Neighbours stars have started responding to the news that the soap is being revived in 2023.
The long-running Aussie favourite was axed after Channel 5 pulled funding, and no one stepped in to save it. But a few months after the 'last' episode aired, it's been announced that it's coming back next year on Amazon Freevee, based on where you live.
Reacting to the news, Dr Karl Kennedy actor Alan Fletcher (who featured in the announcement video, therefore is likely coming back) tweeted: "The most incredible news has just landed. @neighbours is back in a deal with @amazonfreevee and @channel10au. Returns in 2023!!!!!!!!!"

"Neighbours has helped shine a light on Australian culture, provided endless opportunities for our industry and kept fans entertained for decades!" added Scott Robinson actor-turned-singer Jason Donovan. "Thrilled to hear that @neighbours will return to our screens 2023 @AmazonFreevee."

While Fletcher and Donovan are celebrating the news, fellow Neighbours actor Takaya Honda revealed that the cast members who weren't in the announcement trailer didn't know about the revival before the public did, and he needs to take time to process that.
Neighbours will return in the second half of 2023 on Amazon Prime Video's Freevee channel in the UK and the USA, and Prime Video in Australia, New Zealand and Canada, although it'll be traditionally broadcast on Network 10 in Aus first.
Thousands of classic episodes will also come to the service as well, although we don't know when that will be.
Neighbours episodes are still currently available to stream via My5 in the UK and 10Player in Australia.
