Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox reveals car smash incident

"Thank you for the early Christmas present."

This article discusses miscarriage, which readers may find upsetting.

Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox has revealed that her car has been smashed in a shocking incident.

The actress, who plays Nancy Osborne on the Channel 4 soap, posted a story on her Instagram account which showed that the rear windscreen of her car had been smashed.

The caption for the post read: "Thank you for the early Christmas present."

The damage to the vehicle seemed to happen overnight, but Jessica didn’t expand on the matter following her initial post.

Last month, Fox announced that she was pregnant with her first child with husband Nick Willes, with the actress celebrating the news in an emotional Instagram post which referenced her two tragic miscarriages from 2021.

"This week has been baby loss awareness week," she wrote. "So it seemed a good (and bad) time to share our story at the end of such an important and heartbreaking campaign and to show our support to all those who have been or are going through a similar journey.

"Nick and I have been on a rocky road to get to this point. As more people bravely come forward with their stories of miscarriage and baby loss the more important I feel it is to keep talking about it. If I only post about the shiny happy stuff, that's a disservice to others in the same position, myself and the babies I didn't get to hold in my arms."

The actress, who revealed that the baby was due in Spring 2023, previously said her second miscarriage coincided with the on-screen pregnancy of her Hollyoaks character, leading to understandable emotion.

"On my due date, at work, I was handed a beautiful tiny baby and I cried uncontrollably throughout the whole scene," she disclosed. "The director, not knowing my situation, must have thought I was fantastic. I was broken."

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
