Hollyoaks confirms full details of Juliet Nightingale's tragic new story

 What does the future hold?

Hollyoaks will kick off Juliet Nightingale's heartbreaking story next week, as she undergoes tests at the hospital.

The Channel 4 soap's winter trailer previewed a challenging time ahead for Juliet and her loved ones as she's told she could have cancer.

Juliet will grow concerned about her health in upcoming symptoms, when she suffers from continued sickness.

While Nadira is excited to reintroduce Juliet to her dad, this time as her girlfriend, Juliet is too unwell to attend the lunch and asks if they can postpone.

With Juliet's symptoms continuin

g, she decides to get herself checked out at the hospital, where sparks fly between her and Peri – who is desperate to reunite with her.

After undergoing a series of tests, Juliet promises Nadira that she will make a rearranged lunch with her dad, but that all changes when she goes back into hospital.

There, Juliet learns some concerning news from Misbah – she needs a biopsy.

Because of this, Juliet stands up a furious Nadira – who wastes no time in confronting her the following day.

As Nadira demands answers over Juliet's no-show, she is left shocked by Juliet's snappy response.

Donna-Marie also grows suspicious when she spots a text on Juliet's phone and assumes that her daughter's distracted behaviour must be because something is going on with Peri.

As Juliet struggles to keep everyone in the dark over what's really going on, she ends up breaking down in front of Misbah.

She is later told that an appointment for her biopsy has been made for her later that day, but decides not to share this with Nadira – or anyone else.

Juliet also tries to keep Peri at arm's length as well and insists she doesn't want to be with her or Nadira.

In the meantime, Ste finds a leaflet that Juliet has dropped and immediately puts two and two together.

Determined to be there for her, Ste supports Juliet at her hospital appointment, while James rushes to be there as well.

With James and Ste by her side, Juliet receives her results in emotional scenes – but what does the future hold for her?

Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4. Selected omnibus episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video.
