Former Home and Away star Sam Frost shares nasty accident she suffered at home

"If you see a pregnant lady hobbling with some crutches, be polite."

Home and Away's Sam Frost has been in the wars of late, as she revealed she suffered a fall that landed her on crutches.

Pregnant with her and fiancé Jordie Hansen's baby boy, the former Jasmine Delaney actress recently tumbled down in her driveway, injuring herself quite severely in the process.

The lovebirds recounted this accident during a new episode of their podcast, Jordie and Sam's Rural Roadtrip.

"Do you know what I love about you, Sam?" began Jordie. "No matter what, no matter how you're feeling, no matter how much you're hurting, as soon as the microphones come on, you always turn it on and give it your best self.

"I'm very proud of you, you've got a really sore ankle at the moment. It's blown up like a balloon."

Detailing the extent of her wounds, Sam went on to inform listeners: "I fell down my driveway, tore some ligaments in my foot, got a huge-ass graze on my leg.

"If you see a pregnant lady hobbling with some crutches, be polite - it's me!"

This follows her challenging experience with the "incredibly difficult" first trimester of pregnancy, which she candidly blogged about back in September.

"Once the symptoms kicked in (around 6 weeks) my mental health quickly deteriorated," she wrote.

"I feel so far from the person I was. Before pregnancy I was fit, healthy, full of energy, keen for adventures, financially stable and always giggling my head off. Now, all I can stomach is Vegemite toast.

"I sleep literally the entire day, I only get up to wee (frequently) and throw up. I'm now at 15 weeks, while my nausea is slightly easing, I'm still not keeping things down.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
