Steve Peacocke was a fan favourite on Home and Away for many years as he played bad boy Darryl ‘Brax’ Braxton.
While his character struggled with his relationships, from losing his greatest love Charlie Buckton to a gunshot wound to faking his own death leading his girlfriend Ricky to think he was dead.
However, away from the soap, Steve is luckier in love after marrying his wife and co-star.
Who is Steve’s wife?
Bridgette Sneddon, who portrayed Sophie Taylor on Home and Away, is married to Steve’s wife.
She played the wife of Dr. Nate Cooper during her appearances on the show in 2014 and 2015.
She created considerable issues for Nate and several of his friends while she was on the show after triggering a fatal bus crash.
How did Steve and Bridgette meet?
After meeting and spending years together at theatre school, the couple started dating even before she featured on Home and Away.
When they came into contact, the two were attending the University of Western Sydney.
When did they get married?
After becoming engaged on March 7th, 2014, Steve wed Bridgette in a private ceremony on December 24th, 2014.
By the time they got married, the couple had been dating for about ten years.
After arranging for an Australian priest from the Southern Highlands to officiate, Steve referred to it as the “greatest day” of his life.
Their friends and relatives were present, and Steve revealed that his wedding band is the last jewellery he will ever own.
Do the couple have children?
No, the couple doesn’t have any kids. According to Steve, they don’t have time since they are too preoccupied with their jobs and each other’s company.
He clarified that they don’t have any immediate plans to welcome their first child.
What have Steve and Bridgette acted in?
Steve co-starred with Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson in the 2014 production of Hercules after departing Home and Away in 2015.
In 2016’s Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, he played Nic opposite comedian Tina Fey, and in 2016’s Me Before You, he played Nathan, a medical assistant opposite Emilia Clarke of Game of Thrones.
He left for Hollywood before returning to Australia, where he currently appears on the television programmes RFDS and Five Bedrooms.
Bridgette has acted in two 2010 plays in addition to her soap opera debut; in the first, she portrayed Melanie in Chick-o-nomics, and in the second, she played Magda in The Black Dog.
