Home and Away's Rose Delaney to face a dilemma after Cash Newman's shooting

Home and Away's Rose Delaney struggles with her conscience following some unexpected career news on UK screens next week.

Rose recently managed to bring down the dangerous biker gang who'd been causing trouble in Summer Bay, but the risky police operation had upsetting consequences when her colleague Cash Newman was shot.

In next week's episodes on Channel 5, Rose is told that she's being nominated for a commendation award after the biker gang drama.

Rose's bosses in the police force are pleased that the operation brought in so many of the bikies, who are awaiting trial after being charged.

Despite this, Rose feels uncomfortable about the commendation as she still blames herself for Cash being shot.

Cash's sister Felicity has previously blamed Rose for failing to protect him. Although Felicity quickly apologised for this, her harsh words have stuck with Rose.

When Rose confides in her brother Xander, he urges her to accept the praise for a job well done.

Rose remains torn and ultimately tells Xander that she won't be accepting the commendation.

Fearing that his sister could be missing out on a major opportunity, Xander secretly calls Cash for help.

Over lunch with the Delaney siblings, Cash is surprised when Xander mentions Rose's award – and that she may be turning it down.

Cash is quick to insist that it wasn't Rose's fault that he got shot. He also points out that her hard work deserves recognition.

Once she has Cash's blessing, Rose decides to accept the award. Sadly, Rose's success secretly hits hard for Cash as he reflects on everything he has lost.

Back at the Parata house, Cash shuts himself in his room and refuses to come out for food, leaving Felicity concerned once again.
