Home and Away teases shocking hostage drama in Heather and Marilyn story

Heather takes things to another level.

Home and Away has teased a shocking hostage drama involving Heather and Marilyn.

In new promotional footage posted to their Instagram account, we can see newcomer Heather take a bunch of the Summer Bay residents as hostage as she continues to exact revenge from Marilyn.

“She took everything away from me, now I’m going to do the same to her,” says Heather as she invites all of Marilyn’s close friends to a house, presumably to tell them what Marilyn had been hiding from them.

“Your friends, they don’t know who you really are. I’ll fix that,” she says.

Seconds later, we see Marilyn being held hostage as she’s bound to a chair with a gag on her mouth.

While Heather has only just made her entrance to the show for the UK audience, the Australian viewers have been getting acquainted with her for a month.

Heather, as episodes that have aired in Australia have indicated, is Marilyn’s long lost daughter. Back in the '90s, Marilyn was working as a housekeeper and had an affair with her boss. During the relationship, she discovered that she was pregnant.

Heather was pressured by her lover and his wife to give the child up when she was born. That child grew up to be Heather. And when Heather came to Summer Bay having tracked her mother down, her sole focus was revenge.

When Marilyn finally puts the pieces together and realises that Heather is her daughter, they have a conversation where things seem to be smoothing over between the pair. But when Marilyn asks her to keep their connection a secret as she cannot handle having kept such a big secret from all her friends, Heather is back to revenge planning.

And now, it looks like she is about to take matters into her own hands as she has invited all of Marilyn’s friends to tell them who she really is.

What will happen next? Only one way to find out.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.

In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 and streams on 7plus.
