Emmerdale's Olivia Bromley talks on-set rumours over 50th anniversary plot
"Getting your script is kind of like Christmas."
Emmerdale star Olivia Bromley has opened up about on-set rumours over the plot of the show's 50th anniversary special.
While making an appearance on James Martin's Saturday Morning show today (October 8), she talked about the special anniversary and what it is like when rumours fly around on set.
"There's always rumours on set, that's the funny thing," she said. "Like somehow, something trickles down onto set and you go: 'Hang on, we've heard this, we've heard that', and you never know quite what's true until you get your script.

"And getting your script is kind of like Christmas because then you find out really what's happening. So yeah, I think there's often rumours about crazy stuff that's about to happen."
She also opened up a bit about what we can expect from the anniversary specials.
"Every October we usually have Super Soap Week and it is like a competition among soaps to be the most dramatic. This year we've obviously got the 50th so it's massive. It's obviously very soapy and very dramatic. We've got some crazy stunts and it's been really fun."

Recently, Emmerdale producer Jane Hudson talked about the 50th anniversary special and teased an emotional rollercoaster.
In a conversation with and other media, she said: "It is a rollercoaster of emotions and there is a visual impact that will blow more than your socks off, put it that way. There's deaths, there's destruction but there's also real moments of intimacy, of heartbreak and of love. We're going to see our characters tested in not just their physical strength but their emotional strength as well.
"There's going to be a lot of tears – I must warn you about that – and we'll see our community have to deal with the aftermath of this horrific storm."
