Emmerdale's Chas Dingle makes a devastating mistake in death storyline

 Will Chas ever be able to forgive herself?

Chas and Al's affair has been going on for a while now in Emmerdale, but next week sees Chas making a decision that may devastate her for many years to come.

Al, who leaves Chas concerned after a run-in with Aaron, is still set on plowing ahead with their relationship and making things official – even with the uproar that they would likely cause when the news hits the Dales.

But while Al has made his feelings clear on the matter, Chas has been more hesitant, and he decides that he needs to push her for a decision about their future.

Chas is distracted by what is happening within the Dingle family, and Al is left feeling as though they don't have a shot at making a go of things.

But to Al's happiness, Chas says exactly what he wants to hear – she's in love with him too, and wants them to be together.

As Chas's mind is on Faith and what's been happening at home, Al decides that she could do with a break, booking a hotel break so she can relax.

Al has big news for Chas when they get there – he's bought a house for them both to live in. Chas is delighted by the news – but she is completely unaware that at home, a terminally-ill Faith is dying.

Al puts Chas's phone on silent so they can enjoy each other's company undisturbed, but the timing is terrible as Paddy has desperately been trying to get hold of her to tell her what has happened to Faith.

As Chas and Al enjoy their time together and look to what they think will be a bright future, will everything come undone for them when Chas realises that she was not there for Faith?
