Emmerdale confirms tragic details of Faith Dingle's final scenes

 While there are exciting times on the way in Emmerdale with the soap's 50th right around the corner, viewers of the ITV series are set to get some truly heartbreaking scenes before we get there.

As next week begins, Moira is doing all she can to try and convince a terminally ill Faith not to end her own life.

While Faith tries to put her mind at rest by saying that she has no plans to follow through with the plan any time soon, it soon proves to be a ruse and she has decided that it is time she allowed herself to slip away.

Taking her up to her bed to lie down, Nate can see that she is struggling but has no idea what is right around the corner for the family.

When Nate heads off, Faith knows that she has reached the end and she begins taking a trip down memory lane by looking at her phone and glancing at pictures of her family – including the ‘seaside’ trip that they all held for her in the village.

But before she does pass away, Cain arrives and he is confronted by the reality of what his mother has done, and he knows that there is nothing he can do to save her now.

With no other option, all Cain can do is to try and make her as comfortable as possible in her final minutes – and it does not take long before he watches her quietly pass away in front of him.

As friends and family find out what happened, they are all left devastated by the news – and we imagine it will be quite some time before the Dingle clan deal with their loss.

As for the show’s 50th, the big storm is on the way to cause some distractions at least, but could we be seeing more beloved characters reach an untimely end before it is all over?
