Emmerdale confirms passion for Nate and Tracy in Amy Walsh's return plot

The former couple struggle to resist each other.

Emmerdale's Tracy Metcalfe gives into temptation with her ex-partner Nate Robinson next week.

Old feelings between the pair are revisited, even though they've both moved on with new love interests.

Tracy is about to return to the village after bowing out in January for a new job. In real life, Amy Walsh – who plays her – has been on maternity leave.

Next week, Tracy is surprised when she sees Nate with his new girlfriend Naomi Walters in the village.

Tracy also has a new partner, Ollie, and she plans to tell Nate that they're now engaged.

As Tracy struggles to find the right moment to tell Nate about her news, she shares a charged moment with him. This leads to a forbidden encounter as they end up sleeping together.

The reunited lovers panic when they hear Tracy's sister Vanessa Woodfield approaching the house.

Tracy ushers Nate out of the back door in his boxer shorts, then tries her best to act normally around Vanessa.

Vanessa is suspicious when she finds Nate's jeans and phone – and the final clue appears when Nate turns up to collect them.

When Tracy admits that she still likes Nate, a disapproving Vanessa is left in despair. What does this mean for Ollie and Naomi?

Amy Walsh is back on screen as Tracy for a short stint as part of Emmerdale's 50th anniversary celebrations.

Emmerdale star Elizabeth Estensen breaks silence on Diane return

Speaking recently about why it's not a permanent return, Amy explained: "When I was going on maternity leave Jane (Hudson), the executive producer, mentioned it was all happening around August and September and said if I wanted to be a part of it to let her know, but when it came to it I just wasn't ready to come back full time.

"She very kindly offered to write me in and back out again so I didn't have to cut my maternity leave short but I still didn't miss out on the 50th celebrations so it was win-win!"

She added: "It's a brief return for now like I said, but a lot happens for Tracy in a small amount of time. She has some news for Nate but when she sees him it's not as easy to tell him as she may have thought.

"Her and Vanessa get to spend some quality time together too which has been a long time coming."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV, and streams on the ITV Hub.
