Home and Away's Nikau Parata receives upsetting news after biker incident

His future as a lifeguard is in jeopardy.

Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Home and Away's Nikau Parata is left devastated on UK screens next week as he faces the threat of losing his lifeguard job.

Nikau's position as Summer Bay's paid lifesaver is thrown into jeopardy following his involvement in the recent biker gang arrest.

In upcoming episodes on Channel 5, Tex Wheeler and his criminal associates all face court after the police's plan to bring down the dangerous gang.

Tex and the others are sent on remand ahead of their trial – and it's not long before the case hits the headlines of the local newspaper.

Nikau features prominently in the press report due to his lifeguard position, while his uncle Tane is also namechecked due to his role running the local gym.

Even though the Paratas were only involved because Tane was undercover helping the police, Rose Delaney warns that they can't risk blowing their cover until the trial is over.

This means that Nikau and Tane both have to keep quiet while facing public condemnation over their connections with criminals, despite knowing deep down that they've done nothing wrong.

John Palmer is quick to warn Nikau that the surf club committee are reviewing his position as lifeguard.

Nikau begs John to trust him as everything isn't as it seems, but there's not much that John can do without knowing the exact details.

Before long, John lets Nikau know that the surf club committee has voted to have his lifeguard position removed.

Nikau vents to Tane about this, pointing out that he's losing his dream job through no fault of his own.

Tane takes matters into his own hands by telling John that he was the one caught up with the bikies, and Nikau merely found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Home and Away's John Palmer left shocked over neighbours in new scenes

John points out that Tane could lose the lease on the gym if he takes the fall, but Tane is adamant that it's the right thing to do.

Things improve for Nikau when the committee gives him a lifeline, but will there be implications for Tane?

Home and Away airs these scenes on Tuesday, September 20 and Wednesday, September 21 at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
