Home and Away fears for Leah as Heather targets her

Home and Away has lined up a new storyline for Leah, as new arrival Heather begins to target her.

Australian viewers have seen Marilyn Chambers getting quite the shock when Heather, her secret daughter, showed up on her Summer Bay doorstep. But there's more to Heather than meets the eye, and she has been doing all she can to turn everyone against Marilyn.

In scenes airing in Australia this week, Leah cottons onto the fact that something is not quite right about Heather.

When Heather is accused of slashing the tyres on John’s car, Marilyn decides that taking the blame herself would be the best idea so that she and Heather can hopefully become closer as a result.

"There have been a few instances where something just feels off about [Heather]," Ada Nicodemou, who plays Leah, said while discussing the storyline with TV Week.

And those suspicions only grow for Leah when she learns what Marilyn did for Heather.

“Leah feels bad for Marilyn," Ada continued. "She knows she's carrying a lot of guilt and feels she needs to cover for Heather, but Leah doesn't like how Heather has let Marilyn take the blame for everything.

“Leah wants Heather to know she's on to her, that she knows she's manipulating her mother and that it's time to stop.”

But Leah’s decision to get involved has repercussions, and Heather is furious at her for speaking out – while already being frustrated at how forgiving everyone seems to be of Marilyn.

Leah returns home later and gets a shock when the house has been broken into and trashed, and it does not take long for her to work out who is to blame.

"It really scares her," Ada added. "She realises Heather is unhinged."
