Neighbours confirms fifth cast member for official Farewell Tour

 The Superbrain is on board!

Neighbours has confirmed Annie Jones as the fifth cast member for the show's official UK Farewell Tour.

The actress memorably played Jane Harris (aka the Superbrain) during the Aussie soap's 1980s heyday and again leading up to its all-star finale last month.

The stars of Neighbours are coming to the UK in the spring of 2023, which will see Annie Jones back on stage at the London Palladium after previously performing with the soap cast at the 1988 Royal Variety Performance.

"I'm super excited to be joining the Neighbours tour," she said. "There's so much of the UK I've yet to discover and I can't wait to meet as many of our devoted and loyal fans as I possibly can. Pop the kettle on, I'm coming over!"

Her character Jane Harris was involved in one of the show's most popular romances ever with Mike Young (Guy Pearce) during her initial stint. Jane returned in 2018 with her daughter Nicolette Stone.

In the emotional finale, Jane had a long-awaited reunion with Mike to send their characters off in style decades after their original on-screen romance.

The Farewell Tour will also feature Ryan Moloney (aka Toadie Rebecchi), Jackie Woodburne (aka Susan Kennedy), Alan Fletcher (aka Karl Kennedy) and April Rose Pengilly (aka Chloe Brennan) – with one other cast member set to be announced soon.
