Home and Away's Nikau Parata makes a heartbreaking decision over Bella Nixon

Is this the end for Bella and Nikau?

Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Tane Parata is having a rough go of things in Home and Away as he continues to experience trouble at the hands of the biker gang – and this is set to lead to a devastating choice from his nephew Nikau.

Things have only got worse for Tane in recent weeks as he has been forced to launder money for the gang in an attempt to keep himself and those around him safe. But the torment from the gang has not eased up and Tane is beginning to struggle with the pressure that it brings.

One person that notices how much help he needs is Felicity Newman, and she reaches out to him to offer support at a time when he needs it the most.

And those around Tane are also aware that they could be in serious danger after he warns the household that they could all find themselves a target for whatever the bikers have planned next.

For Nikau, he realises that girlfriend Bella Nixon could be in danger if she returns to Summer Bay, so he decides to sacrifice his own happiness for her safety by breaking up with her.

Ending the relationship over the phone while Bella is still in New York, she is left confused and upset by the sudden decision, while a devastated Nikau has to deal with the consequences of his choice.

And this does indeed mark the end of the road for the character of Bella as actress Courteney Miller has left the role.

She and Nikau had planned on a long-distance relationship when he decided to stay, but now the relationship is over she is set to stay in America for good.

When the scenes aired in Australia, she took to Instagram to say farewell to the show and the character of Bella, saying: "To the time of my life. Thank-you @homeandaway. Forever and always your Bella."

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5. Selected classic episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
