Home and Away hints at more problems for Theo Poulos as Lyrik story continues

 Where do his priorities lie?

Home and Away hints at a possible new dilemma for Theo Poulos on UK screens next week.

Theo appears to be heading for a crossroads when his commitments to Lyrik rapidly increase.

Upcoming episodes on Channel 5 see Theo replace Bob Forsyth as the band's lead singer.

This immediately annoys Ziggy Astoni, who doesn't believe that Theo can fit in Lyrik gigs alongside his mechanical apprenticeship.

Next week, Lyrik prepare for their first gig with Theo as a member, but the rest of the band are unaware of how nervous their new recruit is.

Theo tries contacting his girlfriend Chloe Anderson for moral support, but fails to get through to her. He's unaware that Chloe has left Summer Bay for good amid the Parata family's ongoing trouble with a biker gang.

Theo worries about Chloe's lack of contact and he fails to show up on time for the band's sound check at Salt.

Salt's co-owner Mackenzie Booth points out that Theo seems to lack professionalism, but Kirby Aramoana is confident that he'll be there.

Kirby's prediction comes true when Theo resurfaces just in time for curtain call, but not everyone in the group is so forgiving.

Theo is under pressure to raise his game, but he pulls it off when he manages to send the crowd wild.

Ziggy is in the crowd and feels even more annoyed when she sees Theo perform, recognising that the band will soon become a big deal for him.

Ziggy sternly questions Justin Morgan on how Theo will be able to juggle band commitments and his apprenticeship.

Justin, who's happy for Theo, initially protests that Leah's nephew will manage. Ziggy is sceptical and demands practical solutions, rather than empty reassurances.

Ziggy's boyfriend Dean Thompson also gets involved, reminding Justin that Ziggy took over Theo's apprenticeship as a favour and she doesn't deserve to be brushed aside like this.

Justin promises to take the situation more seriously, and when he later overhears Lyrik discussing plans for a tour, he realises that Ziggy is right about the big commitment involved.

Justin sits Theo down for a serious talk – could his TAFE studies fall by the wayside?

Home and Away airs these scenes on Monday, September 5 and Tuesday, September 6 at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
