Neighbours star April Rose Pengilly confirmed for farewell tour

April Rose Pengilly will be joining Neighbours' upcoming Farewell Tour,  

 can exclusively reveal.

Following the show's farewell on our screens next week, some of the show's cast members will be touring across Britain next spring, as they reminisce about the iconic soap's 37 years on air.

Among them is April, who has played the role of Chloe Brennan since 2018 and has been at the forefront of a number of big storylines during her stint.

"I am so excited to be part of the Neighbours UK tour!" the actress said. "We have the most incredible fans and I cannot wait to come and meet them all in person."

April joins Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne, who play iconic Ramsay Street couple Karl and Susan Kennedy, with further cast members to be announced.

The tour is due to kick off in Belfast next March, visiting cities such as Manchester, Birmingham, Brighton, Southampton, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Cardiff, before wrapping in London.

The soap was previously due to undertake a special one-off Live In Conversation show to mark 35 years in 2020, though this was postponed due to COVID-19, and has now become the much bigger Farewell Tour.

"The show looks set to be the ultimate celebration of Neighbours and a chance for fans to say their final goodbyes," a Neighbours insider previously told

"The cast were touched by the outpouring of love from UK fans after Neighbours' cancellation was announced. Some of the best-loved stars will now be flying out to celebrate with fans in person."

The Neighbours finale was originally due to air on Monday, August 1, though has since been moved to Friday, July 29 in the UK, with the big finale episode broadcast at 9pm after the previous episodes earlier in the day.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 and streams on My5. The series finale will air in the UK on July 29 at 9pm on Channel 5.
