Neighbours star Georgie Stone reveals death plot producers turned down

Neighbours star Georgie Stone has revealed one pitched death storyline that was turned down by producers.
Next week's episodes will see Stone's character Mackenzie Hargreaves marrying Hendrix Greyson (Ben Turland) in a fairytale wedding. But it turns out Stone wanted Mackenzie to get married earlier, and was hoping for some tragedy too.
In an interview with Inside Soap, the star explained that she and Lachie Millar suggested killing off Millar's character Richie.

"Lachie Millar and I pitched a storyline where Mackenzie and Richie get married, and then he dies!" she said.
This isn't the first time Stone has pitched storylines for Neighbours. Before she was part of the cast, she wrote a letter to executive producer Jason Herbison, suggesting how to have a trans young person on the show.
After a successful audition, Stone would go on to join the Ramsay Street soap in 2019 and has been part of the show ever since.
With Neighbours set to air its final ever episode in August, Mackenzie and Hendrix's marriage could be the last-ever wedding ceremony on the show.
"I secretly always wanted to get married on Neighbours because it's such a Neighbours tradition," she revealed.
For Stone, it was a dream come true, and it sounds as though she's also in love with her dress.

"Mackenzie wears a beautiful wedding dress custom-made by the wonderful costume department at Neighbours. Although in the show, it's custom-made by Amy," she shared.
The special wedding comes ahead of Hendrix's surgery for a lung transplant. Hendrix was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis following the recent school fire.
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 and streams on
