Neighbours star Ben Turland shares future plans after Hendrix Greyson exit
"Whatever comes, I'm ready."
Neighbours star Ben Turland has spoken to about his future plans after his departure from the role of Hendrix Greyson.
This week's UK episodes have seen Hendrix tragically pass away after his lung transplant failed, leaving his family and friends devastated.
In real life, Ben made the choice to leave Neighbours last year, before the decision was made to axe the show.
Speaking to Digital Spy about what he'll be focusing on next, Ben explained: "Whatever comes! There are a few things coming up.

"I wouldn't mind dancing a little bit more. I'm a dancer but I haven't danced in three years, because it's very full-on doing Neighbours. So I wouldn't mind doing a bit of training in that – and a bit more singing as well.
"I just want to explore and be open to anything that happens. I wouldn't mind travelling as well. I'd like to go out, live life however it comes and learn lessons. Whatever comes, I'm ready."
Ben went on to share his fond memories of working with Neighbours co-star Georgie Stone, who plays Hendrix's wife Mackenzie Hargreaves.
Hendrix and Mackenzie tied the knot in a fairytale ceremony last week, unaware that their married life would be tragically cut short.
Ben said: "I think the relationship that me and Georgie have created for these two characters has been so special and fun. I'll remember it for a very long time and I think Georgie will too.
"Some of the memories that we've made, the things we've found out about each other, the things we've found out about our characters and who they are, are all things that I will hold onto and remember in my career.
"I've learned so much through Georgie and our characters – the love and passion that two people can have and how intense it can be."
Ben also spoke about the sad news that Neighbours will be ending this year, expressing hope that it could be resurrected in the future.

Cast and crew gathered to film the show for the final time last week, while the finale will air on screen on August 1.
Reflecting on Neighbours' demise, Ben explained: "It's a very sad thing. I've made a lot of connections there, including with the crew. I've seen the love and effort they've put into that place. With how long some of the crew have been there, it's honestly a family.
"That whole Neighbours studio just feels like another home to me and I have learned so much there. It's been like a little masterclass workshop for me and I know a lot of actors and directors feel the same way. It's a training ground and people learn so much there.
"To think that nobody else is going to be able to experience that is really upsetting, because Neighbours creates such a good family base and a knowledge base of how the industry works.
"I'm really, really hoping that Neighbours gets picked up and someone gives it the love that it deserves, because it's such a beautiful show and the connections that I've made there, I think I'll hold onto for the rest of my life."
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 and streams on My5. In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach and streams on 10 Play.
