Coronation Street films emotional wedding day for Fiz Stape and Phill Whittaker

 Not a great day for Tyrone, though.

Coronation Street will seemingly put an end to a complicated love triangle as Fiz Stape and Phill Whittaker are getting ready to walk down the aisle.

The soap has filmed the wedding of Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) and Phill (Jamie Kenna). She seems to have finally decided where her heart lies, despite struggling to process her feelings for her ex Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) following his affair.

In the snaps, McAlpine as Fiz is donning a stunning white wedding dress with a delicate rose bouquet, while Kenna as Phill is by her side in a grey suit.

As the Corrie couple look as happy as it gets, Tyrone isn't doing so great. In attendance, he is clearly having a hard time concealing his love for Fiz on her big day.

Is this the end of Fiz and Tyrone? Not according to producer Iain MacLeod, who has teased what lies ahead for the characters in a chat with

"I think I know what Fiz's happy ending looks like, but it's going to be a long, brilliant and complicated story for both of them. Once you've been hurt and humiliated like Fiz has, even if you find yourself wanting your ex back, is it that straightforward? Will pride, and your family, let you?

"I think it's going to be a cracking year for that household. As if it wasn't brilliant enough, you've also got Evelyn [Plummer, played by Maureen Lipman] in the corner offering her acidic asides."
