Neighbours confirms return for Scott Major as Lucas Fitzgerald
The list of finale returnees keeps growing.
Neighbours has added another name to its list of iconic returning characters, with Scott Major reprising his role as Lucas Fitzgerald during the show's final ever episodes.
The show has confirmed to Digital Spy that Lucas will briefly be back on Ramsay Street as the long-running soap comes to an end, alongside 23 other beloved characters from the show's history.
Lucas first arrived in Erinsborough in 2008 and was introduced as the brother of Daniel Fitzgerald. During his time on the show, he had romances with Elle Robinson, Steph Scully and Emilia Jovanovic, while he also struggled with a gambling addiction, got involved in illegal street racing and was diagnosed with testicular cancer.

He left Ramsay Street in 2013 after deciding to move away with girlfriend Vanessa Villante and their children, although he has made several guest appearances since, most recently in 2021 when he returned to fire Bea Nilsson from the garage.
Actor Scott has continued to work as a director on Neighbours since leaving behind his on-screen role.
The news comes as we build up to the soap's final episodes, which will be broadcast as a double episode on Monday, August 1 following the cancellation of the soap after Channel 5's decision to stop airing the show in the UK.
Scott will join an impressive list of already-announced returning actors, which includes 1980s legends such as Kylie Minogue (Charlene Mitchell), Jason Donovan (Scott Robinson), Ian Smith (Harold Bishop) and Peter O'Brien (Shane Ramsay).

Stars from the soap's more recent past will be coming back too, including Olympia Valance (Paige Smith), Jodi Gordon (Elly Conway) and Olivia Junkeer (Yashvi Rebecchi).
Some very recently departed actors will also pop back to say goodbye, in the form of Ben Hall (Ned Willis) and Zima Anderson (Roxy Willis).
Executive producer Jason Herbison said of the exciting guest appearances: "Whether the eighties, nineties, naughties or teens is your favourite decade, we will be delivering something for everyone as Neighbours draws to a close.
"Alongside the current cast we will be celebrating the most memorable characters from across many eras, with a few surprises up our sleeve."
