Home and Away's Tane and Dean fall out as Mia is left devastated

Tensions continue to run high after Ari's death.

Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.

Home and Away's Tane Parata faces some stern words from Dean Thompson on UK screens next week.

Tane is frustrated as Dean interferes when Mia Anderson feels let down by her family.

In upcoming scenes on Channel 5, Mia becomes concerned that her daughter Chloe and nephew Nikau Parata are both relying too much on their friends to support them following Ari's death.

Mia doesn't want their family to drift apart without Ari, so she arranges a dinner for everyone.

Tane ends up pulling out when his girlfriend Felicity Newman invites him to be part of an illegal poker night that Mackenzie Booth has arranged at Salt.

Assuming no news is good news from everyone else, Mia goes ahead and makes a lavish lamb roast dinner.

The table is set for Chloe and Nikau to arrive, but neither of them turn up.

Still in a vulnerable place due to her grief for Ari, Mia is left all alone with only her wine for company.

When Mia gets fed up with waiting for guests who aren't going to arrive, she heads to the Astonis' farmhouse to look for Chloe.

Ziggy Astoni and Dean both explain that Chloe isn't there, but they spot Mia's obvious sadness and invite her to stay for a while.

A lonely Mia is grateful for the couple's support, admitting that she feels like she's a burden to her family and they're all avoiding her.

When Tane eventually finds out what happened, he feels terrible for letting Mia down and prioritising a poker night when she needed him.

The next day at the beach, Dean confronts Tane for messing up with Mia.

Tane warns Dean to back off, but Dean thinks he deserves a say since Nikau and Chloe are both spending so much time at his place.

Ziggy rebukes Dean for being aggressive when he should be respecting the family's privacy, but will he take notice of the warning?

Home and Away airs these scenes on Wednesday, May 11 at 1.15pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
