Tane's life is on the line as Mac's plan backfires.
Home and Away spoilers follow for Australian and UK viewers.
Home and Away has confirmed a dramatic stabbing storyline for the soap which will leave Tane Parata's life hanging in the balance, as Mackenzie Booth's illegal poker night scheme threatens to result in tragedy.
In scenes airing this week in Australia, and in June in the UK, Mackenzie (Emily Weir) is still in debt to villain PK (Ryan Johnson) after he scammed her over her illicit poker games and claimed that she owed him $100,000.
Having been unable to go ahead with spending the night with him in order to 'cancel' her debt, both Mac and PK are now out for revenge on the other – and this puts Mac in a very dangerous position, TV Week reports.

"PK wants to win, to control and to come out on top," Mac star Emily said. "He is an egomaniac who doesn't like to be told no. He wants revenge for her deception and to make her suffer."
In the new scenes, Mac and Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis), who have been running the poker nights together, come up with a plan to clear Salt's ongoing debts and to rid themselves of PK once and for all.
Mac's brother Dean Thompson (Patrick O'Connor) isn't keen on the idea at all and he offers to bring in the River Boys to "take care" of the problem, but Mac is determined to do things her own way.
Mac plays along with PK, planning another poker night in his honour and promising that he will reap the profits – but in reality, she plans to use the money to pay off her debts.

Dean's girlfriend Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman) listens in and becomes fearful that Mac and Dean are playing a very dangerous game with PK.
The situation gets even more tense when an associate of PK's named Nathan (Ryan Panizza) arrives and warns Mac that if she has a revenge scheme planned, she needs to call it off now – because she is in serious danger.
Mac simply scoffs at Nathan and orders him to leave, but she later realises that she should have taken his warning seriously when two men show up and ambush Mac and Dean while they are closing up Salt.
The men order the pair to the ground, with one brandishing a knife, before they ransack the restaurant in search of cash and valuables.
Home and Away's Logan gets shock news over death
Meanwhile, Felicity and Tane (Ethan Browne) are closing up the gym and they make the fateful decision to go and check on Mac.
Their sudden arrival at Salt distracts the criminals and Dean manages to knock one of the men to the ground, while Tane wrestles with the other. Their intervention forces the intruders to flee, but Felicity is horrified when she runs to check on her boyfriend and realises that he has been stabbed.
Tane is clearly in urgent need of medical attention, but Mac realises that heading to the hospital could cause all of her illegal actions to be exposed. Felicity suggests that they call Mac's boyfriend, Dr Logan Bennett, instead, but Mac knows that bringing Logan (Harley Bonner) into things will rope him into her illegal activity.
"There is a very real and terrifying chance that Tane could die from the stabbing," Emily explained. "Being put in a situation where Tane needs urgent medical help, but by doing so reveals the criminal activity that's been transpiring at Salt, is the position Mackenzie is put in."
Mac is facing an enormous, life-or-death dilemma – what will she decide to do?
