Home and Away's Mia Anderson makes final decision on Summer Bay future

Is she about to say goodbye to the Bay?

Home and Away's Mia Anderson will make a huge decision about her future in Summer Bay in upcoming scenes, as she comes to a final conclusion about where she wants to call home.

Following the sudden tragic death of her husband Ari Parata (Rob Kipa-Williams), Mia (Anna Samson) has been struggling with her grief and has already made plans to leave Summer Bay behind, feeling unable to stay in a place that holds so many memories.

Her daughter Chloe Anderson, however, is unwilling to move away and so Mia, feeling that the pair should stick together as they always have done, has decided to stay around for now.

However TV Week reports that, in scenes airing this week in Australia and in a few weeks time in the UK, Mia reconsiders again and she makes her final decision – although it's a tough call to make, she is going to leave town.

Emotions are running high in the Parata household, with the whole family distraught at the prospect of Mia moving away, but they all understand why she feels the need for a fresh start – including Chloe.

Sam Barrett, who plays Chloe, explained: "Ari was her mum's soulmate and, in a lot of ways, the glue that held their family together."

After initially being resistant to being separated, Chloe decides to urge her mum to start afresh if it's what she needs.

Ari's brother Tane Parata (Ethan Browne) then gifts Mia a one-way ticket to New Zealand, where Ari was recently laid to rest, so that she can begin a fresh chapter.

The family gathers together to enjoy one last pizza party, before Mia packs her bags and sets off for the airport, and a new life away from Summer Bay.

But the question is, how will Chloe, who has recently become fixated on her friend Bella Nixon (Courtney Miller), cope without her mum?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
