He will be involved in Mac's illegal gambling nights.
Home and Away spoilers follow.
Home and Away has teased more about Ryan Johnson's mystery character in its new Australian trailer.
Johnson, who has recently starred in Australian medical drama Doctor Doctor, had guested previously on the show in a small role as Paolo Rosetta.
We already know that Ryan will make his return to the soap as Peter King, who will play a prominent role in Mackenzie Booth's storyline as she struggles to save her restaurant from financial crisis.
As Mac's financial situation at Salt continues to get worse, she turns to hosting illegal casino nights in order to save her business.
Previous trailers have shown that Mac will be hosting the risky gambling nights, feeling they are her only way out of her money worries.
In the new trailer, Ryan's character Peter is seen telling Mac: "There are no skeletons in my closet," before making her an offer of an exclusive poker night.
Mac is then seen telling Felicity Newman that Peter has offered her an incredible opportunity: "One more night, then we can go back to our lives."
But Felicity has big doubts about Peter, as she tells Mac: "There's something odd about him" as the clip ends teasing 'big regrets?' Before Peter tells Mac: "Name your price."
Home and Away's Mia Anderson makes final decision on Summer Bay future
Meanwhile Emily Weir, who plays Mac, revealed that her character's storyline will have a far-ranging affect on Summer Bay.
"The storyline is super exciting," Emily said. "It's got so many different levels dramatically and it really is something that eventually takes over the entire Bay.
"Everyone becomes affected by this illegal gambling storyline, like it really spreads out and into a lot of other people's storylines."
