Former Home and Away actress Sam Frost has responded to rumours about her breakup with boyfriend Jordie Hansen with a reassuring selfie.

The ex-soap star took to her Instagram Stories to clarify the speculation after Daily Mail Australia reported on Friday (April 22) that the pair had split.

Sharing a selfie with her boyfriend (and adorable pooch) in bed, Sam posted a screenshot of a chat with a concerned friend who reassured her there was no trouble in paradise.

"Yo yo yo - how are you my love?" her friend began in a direct message. "Is everything okay? Saw on my news app that you and Jord broke up so just wanted to check in and see if that was just lies? "

Assuaging her friend, Sam replied by sending said selfie alongside the message: "... nah it's the Daily Mail so it must be true."

Home and Away star Sam Frost breaks her silence on why she quit the show

On April 11, Sam posted the picture (above) to her Instagram feed which sees her laughing beside Jordie alongside the caption: "'Mum, can you take a nice photo of me & jord?' I now have 25 blurry photos of us laughing our heads off [...] funniest human I've ever met 🤍 @jordie.hansen thank you for making me so happy, I'm a very lucky woman xx."

The couple have been dating intermittently from the age of 17 and confirmed their current relationship on April 4 by sharing videos and photos of themselves on a road trip from Sydney to the NSW South Coast.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.

In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 and streams on 7plus.
