Chris Hemworth’s younger cousin Luke Van Os will follow in his footsteps and make his debut on Home and Away.

 

The 24-year-old actor is linked to the Hemworths through his father, who is Chris‘ mother Leonie’s brother.

Luke claimed that he had a Zoom chat with Thor the night before his audition for the long-running soap.

He told The Daily Telegraph on Thursday that he was thankful and fortunate that his Hemsworth cousins Chris, Liam, and Luke ‘laid the path’ for him and given him an insight into the profession throughout the years.


I actually zoomed with Chris the night before and we ran it (the scene) and kind of just got into a good headspace,’ he said.

‘His advice was nice, put in the work and the work doesn’t end now, if anything this is when you need to work hard,’ he added.



‘This week, the actor began filming scenes for his character, Xander, who will make his movie debut next year.

Chris first made his debut on Home and Away in 2004 as Kim Hyde.

He departed the long-running soap in 2007 and relocated to Los Angeles, where he landed a tiny role in Star Trek: The Next Generation in 2009.

His Marvel career began in 2010 when he was cast as Thor.

He has also appeared in Bad Times at the El Royale, Ghostbusters, and Men in Black: International, in addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

Chris and his actress wife Elsa Pataky now live in Byron Bay, on the NSW North Coast, with their three children – daughter India, nine, and twin sons Tristan and Sasha, seven – after migrating from Los Angeles in 2014.
